Many years ago it began with recording friend's bands in garages and helping them put on live shows with slightly better PA systems. I soon realized that audio engineering was my calling and decided to become more serious about the industry. Since then I have worked as a freelance engineer for many record labels including Dancing Cat Productions, Sony, Windham Hill, Def Jam, and Arista records as well as running my own production company Noise Drop Productions. I have also worked with many local indy bands as I love to give my expertise to the local community. I have also earned 2 Grammy nominations for audio engineering, as well as many Billboard Charting Albums. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to work with many talented artists including Jennifer Hudson, George Winston, Joan Jeanrenaud, Henry Butler, Cyril Pahinui, MO2, Bola Sete, Professor Longhair, Steven, Damian, and Ziggy Marley, Los Lonely Boys, and Sam Bostic along with many other amazing artists.

Chris Konovaliv / Audiolux - Post Production Engineer

Chris Konovaliv brings more than 12 years of experience covering all facets of the audio production process. Chris has mixed short and long format television for Current TV as well as spots for advertising clients in San Francisco and Sacramento, including Ogilvy PR, Mering/Carson, Runyon, Saltzman, and Einhorn, BBDO West, Engine Company #1, Hubstrategy adn Pond Radio, among others.

Chris started his career as the Chief Engineer and Audio Coordinator at a three-room recording complex housed in the University of Michigan's Duderstadt Center working mainly in jazz, classical, and avant-garde acoustic music. Following his relocation to the San Francisco Bay Area, he held stints as engineer and studio manager for San Francisco's classic Putnam-designed studio, Coast Recorders. After Coast he began his foray into the audio post-production world while working at Euphonix, testing and qualifying the software for the System5 large format digital mixing console.

Chris holds a BFA in Performing Arts and Technology from the University of Michigan School of Music and an MFA in Electronic Music and Recorded Media from Mills College in Oakland, CA.

Daryn Roven - Music and Post Production, Recording, and Mixing

Daryn Roven is a seasoned recording engineer/producer. Before going freelance ten years ago, he was chief engineer at Russian Hill Recording, one of San Francisco’s premiere recording facilities. He has broad experience in film and commercial post-production as well as an extensive credit list in music production in both San Francisco and New York. He has worked with musical luminaries including Taj Mahal, John Lee Hooker, Mavis Staples, Bob Weir, and Marcus Shelby, and records film scores as diverse as as “Food Inc.” and “Nobel Son.” In the world of film and commercial post, he contributes to projects by Pixar, Dreamworks, and all the major SF advertising firms.
