Console Lights

Studio Trilogy is a multi-room recording facility located in the heart of the SOMA district of San Francisco. The studio offers an extensive equipment collection including an SSL 9080K console, Studer multi-tracks, and Digidesign HD3 systems. In addition to a variety of recording spaces, the facility also boasts a number of comfortable lounges and play spaces, including a backyard garden and bbq area, rooftop deck, playroom, and a beautiful apartment.

The studio was originally opened in 2006 to serve as a home base for Talking House Productions and its in-house label Talking House Records. After a recent separation from the production company and record label , Cindy McSherry, Justin Lieberman, and Willie Samuels took over management of the studio facility and renamed it Studio Trilogy. It now operates as a “traditional” studio-for-hire business. The team are all veterans of the Bay Area studio scene having held past engineering and management positions at Different Fur, SF Soundworks, Crescendo! Studios, Russian Hill Recording, Nu-tone, and Studio 880.

Willie Samuels
Full Credits

Willie Samuels is a recording engineer, producer and musician with some serious studio business chops. Willie began his career in his teens and within a few years he was operating a "guerilla style" mobile studio out of his parents old station wagon, traveling to record local bands in their rehearsal spaces, garages, or whatever space they could find that sounded good. By the time he was 18, he was doing freelance engineering/producing work in many historic Bay Area studios and in 1996 he and partner Chris Dugan opened Nu-tone Studios, which quickly became a mecca for local and national independent artists. In 2006 Willie began freelancing at the newly constructed studios of Talking House Productions in SF. A few months later, he joined the production team at Talking House, serving as a staff engineer and continuing his quest to serve and develop local talent. In April 2010 Willie partnered with Justin Lieberman and Cindy McSherry to open Studio Trilogy.
